Imani and Teresa met while attending the University of Northern Colorado. They began working an on campus job together and as the school year went on they began to develop a great friendship.
On March 16, 2020, everything changed... they got an email that UNC was closing because of the global pandemic. Imani would go home, to Colorado Springs for "spring break", and finish out her final year virtually. Despite the distance, Imani and Teresa became quarantine buddies and their friendship only got stronger.
One random day in April, Teresa asked Imani what elementary school she attended and when she replied deep down they both knew that, that was the beginning, of the rest of their lives. They realized that they attended Highline Community Elementary School in Kindergarten at the same time.
Though they grew up and lived in different states, their souls connected when they were 5 years old and found each other again 16 years later!
